Norgerie Rivas AIA, NCARB, NOMA

Originally from Puerto Rico, Norgerie Rivas is a licensed architect, project manager, and dedicated professional now based in Houston, Texas. Holding credentials from AIA, NCARB, and NOMA, she brings extensive experience in the design, construction administration, and project management of commercial projects to the built environment. 
 
Norgerie advocates for design justice and spotlighting overlooked innovation within the architecture and construction fields. She is highly active in mentorship and advocacy throughout the AEC industry, frequently lending her voice and expertise to AIA Houston events. 

As the engaging co-host and creator of the She Builds Podcast, Norgerie shares her platform to uncover the untold stories of women who significantly shaped our built environment.

By continuously championing underrepresented figures, she works tirelessly to ensure that the vital contributions of women are recognized, celebrated, and integrated into our broader understanding of architectural history. Her foundational education at Syracuse University sparked a lifelong passion for both architectural excellence and uncovering hidden historical narratives.

In her day-to-day practice at eStudio Architecture in Houston, she expertly manages complex commercial, healthcare, and retail projects from initial design through final construction administration. Her leadership in this role demonstrates her deep commitment to practical execution, effective project management, and delivering high-quality, functional spaces that actively serve their local communities.
