Christopher Taurasi

A registered architect based in Brooklyn, New York, with over 14 years of professional experience, Christopher Taurasi brings a thoughtful and calm approach to the built environment. As a co-founder of Level Studio Architecture, he is the team’s dedicated specialist in navigating complex project scales, expertly guiding designs from intimate residential interiors to massive urban master plans.

Drawing from his impactful tenure as an Organizing Board Member for Architecture for Humanity in Boston, he consistently collaborates with nonprofits to ensure architecture serves as a vehicle for social equity. He also actively shares his extensive technical knowledge and dedication to craft with the next generation of designers, serving as a part-time lecturer at the Parsons School of Design.

The insightful co-host of the Emerging podcast on the Gābl Media Network, Chris shares an unfiltered, firsthand account of building a new architecture firm from the ground up.

Alongside Jeffrey Lee and Lexi White, he utilizes this serial documentary platform to transform an aspirational napkin sketch into a comprehensive guide for aspiring founders. His engaging episodes tackle the essential business side of architecture, demystifying everything from legal structures and branding to operational efficiency and the trials of entrepreneurial growth.

His leadership as a founding partner at Level Studio Architecture demonstrates his profound commitment to sustainable innovation and material exploration. He continuously investigates how unique material properties—like heaved and folded surfaces—can beautifully define and elevate a space. This dedication to craft and sustainability was powerfully showcased when his team won the prestigious 2023 AISC Forge Prize for “Electric Oasis,” a visionary concept that reimagines gas stations using modular structural steel.
